Comments: Oh how lovely!! So simple to make and everyone (including the kids) really enjoyed them! Made exactly 12 in 20 minutes. I added a bit more cinnamon for the topping but didn't change anything else. They'll be a regular for our Sunday morning.... |

Comments: This recipe sucks. I followed the recipe exactly and the muffins did not come out well. I also came up with a doughy batter just like sandy14564 below me. |

Comments: If you want more of a "breakfast muffin" don't use flour, use Bisquick! And they tasted great! Add about 1/8th teaspoon more of cinnamon to the batter. The batter consistency is thicker, more like dumplings rather than a cake. Don't over-fill the cup either. I got 12 perfect sized muffins! Use a cupcake liner to make holding onto the muffin easier after baking for dunking into the butter and then the cinnamon sugar mix. Mix your cinnamon/sugar to your own liking. I like more cinnamon so I added it. These would be fantastic in a muffin-top pan! Might be hard to dunk, but you could brush the butter on and sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar on top, and then pipe a bit of buttercream frosting onto the top. Yum! Special treat! Bake on the middle rack or one up from the middle rack (I used this one). Too low and they will burn without the tops getting browned and they will be doughy inside. If using dark muffin pan, don't forget to cut back your oven temp to 400, but bake about 20 minutes. Let your nose and eyes be your guide. |

Comments: I made this recipie 2times. The first time I thought was a mistake. The batter was dough so I scooped it in the cups. After the cooking time they came out of the oven with the tops hard and crusty while the inside was not cooked.
I just made them again thinking perhaps I did something wrong the first time. Again the batter was like a dough and again they didn't cook. This recipie isn't worth the time or the ingredients to make for a third time. This recipe is just awful. |

Comments: I was skeptical when making these because I was expecting a batter but instead it was more like dough. So I couldn't poor it in the muffin cups...I had to scoop and drop it in the muffin cups. But to my surprise they came out great and tasted great too. The only alteration I made to the recipe was the topping...I rubbed the tops of the hot muffins with a stick of butter and then dipped them into the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Next time I think I will use a little more cinnamon. Over all it was a great recipe and I will be making these again soon. |
