I couldn't make these look anything like a Christmas tree (I even tried the funnel method someone else had suggested) so I spread the mixture out on a cookie sheet, put it in the fridge for about an hour, and then cut trees out using a cookie cutter. Worked like a charm! I also put a tiny dab of frosting on M&Ms and other small candies to decorate. They are delicious and everyone I gave them to thought so too!

Oh, my goodness! I was so happy to see these as my mother made them years ago with us and I in turn made them with my children. We used the plain Cheerios, but the rest of the recipe is the same. They are wonderful!!!

my 3 yr old love helping mom make this. I agree it is hard to form the tree bit i did it in 2 seperate parts. I formed the trees flat on cookie sheet then stood them up and used fluff to stick them 2gether

I couldn't get these into Christmas tree shapes, either. I was lucky and found star-shaped marshmallows for the top, which somewhat resemble Christmas trees. I also couldn't get the "ornaments" to stick, so melted some more marshmallows in a bowl and tinted it green to use as "glue". I think if I practiced some more, I could do this well. Maybe next time when the mixture is cooled down nearly enough to work with, I'll add some mini-M&Ms into the mix as ornaments instead of sticking them on indivually. But as another reviewer said, the kids LOVED them and ate them up before touching any other dessert!

These were very messy to make (working with marshmallow usually is) and I couldn't get my trees to look as nice as the picture, but my kids gobbled them up and asked me to make more. Next time instead of trees I'll make a big wreath and then just cut off slices to serve the kids. They taste very yummy too!

These were great, all my friends and kids came over Christmas Eve and had a great time making them! We didn't eat them, but used them to decorate the buffet table!
