I've been doing this for years, I make this easier.
For my self I purchase 3 lbs.of HB I cook 1 lb. at a time adding what you want or just the HB I break up and fry and drain place the 1 lb. in bowl till it cools then add to Zip lock bag and freeze. I always have a lb. of Beef ready and all I do is add it to the Fry pan. Often it doesn't need thawing.
