Yes, you can! Roll light, fluffy angel food cake around refreshing raspberry, orange and lime sherbets for a cool and easy make-ahead treat.

Make sure you line the pan with wax paper, I didn't and the cake stuck and was burned on the bottom- check the cake before the time listed. The flavor at the end is nice, the cake tastes more like a sponge cake and the ice cream inside is very cold when eating. Also very hard to cut the cake, stuck to the fingers when holding it so finally just took a knife and pushed it down to make a slice. Looked like a colorful sushi roll according to a family member.

This is a great recipe. Be aware that if you have a pan with a dark bottom, even if it's not black on the surface, these will burn at350, in 20 min. I thought my oven was off, but when I read the directions on the cake box, it warns to lower the oven to 325 for dark colored or non- stick pans.

This was so popular with my family when I made it a few months ago ~ I was just asked to make another for a birthday party this week-end! I use rainbow sherbet, rather than 3 separate flavors. Looked just as pretty!

This is wonderful, I also made this using, chocolate, vanilla & strawberry premium ice cream in place of the sherbert, then drizzle a little chocolate syrup or fudge sauce on the plate before placeing the slice of cake & sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Excellent make ahead dessert! Some helpful hints:a)make sure your cake mix is fresh-not expiredb)instead of buying different sherbets, buy one of the "marbled" sherbet blends.c)I would make be prepared to make a couple of cakes. The first one I tried, didnt turn out-dont know why. luckily I had an extra box and the second one was perfect.d)this recipe is great for potlucks-make ahead and just carry from freezer to freezer. Gets great "wow!" factor from your guests!e)I served mine with a side of frozen unsweetened raspberries-incredible!!MAKE ONE OR 2 EXTRA ONES-YOUR FAMILY WILL INHALE THIS!!

I made this for a family dinner. Instead of baking the second half in a loaf pan, I baked it in another jelly roll pan. Used rainbow sherbet (easier). Made two rolls thinking I might have leftovers. Both kids and adults loved it. I could have auctioned off the last piece to the highest bidder. Now my 6 year old grandson wants it for his birthday cake. I''d call that a great endorsement !

I''ve never tried to do a jelly roll before because I was afraid I wouldn''t be able to do the rolling part. This was so easy! Great light recipe and definitely a "do again". Make sure you print the recipe out because everyone will ask for it.

I made this for my baby shower last weekend and it was such a huge success that I have been asked to give the recipe to friends and make it for holidays. I am not sure who came up with this idea but I have to say many thanks. This recipe is so easy to make and it only took me a few minutes to get it together. I have to give one piece of advice though, when it says lay on towel and wrap while it is still warm, make sure you do that, once it cools it is a little harder to wrap.
