Ingredients

1: can (21 oz) peach pie filling

2: cups frozen sliced peaches, thawed

1: cup Original Bisquick® mix

1: tablespoon sugar

1/4: cup milk

1: tablespoon butter or margarine, softened

: Additional sugar, if desired

: Ground nutmeg, if desired

Directions

1 In ungreased 8-inch square pan, spread pie filling and sliced peaches; place in cold oven. Heat oven to 400°F; let pie filling and peaches heat 10 minutes.
2 Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon sugar, the milk and butter with fork until soft dough forms.
3 Remove pan from oven. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto warm peach mixture. Sprinkle with additional sugar and nutmeg.
4 Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until topping is light brown.

For some reason, I thought Bisquick + canned pie filling might add up to something more appetizing than this. Not only is it bland and flavorless, the Bisquick dumpling is dry, dry. I was at least hoping for something passable for a quick dessert. Silly me. The peaches with some ice cream were okay though.

I substituted blackberry pie filling and frozen blackberrys for the peaches. Next time it will be three berries! My favorite.

Everyone loved it!! I made 2 so we could have another for the next night! Now I know what I can do with the excess supply of pie fillings (bought on-sale)! This is just to easy to make, the BIG hugs I get are GREAT! Happy New Year to Everyone!
