Directions

  • 1 Flatten each chicken breast to about 1/4-inch thickness between sheets of waxed paper or plastic wrap.
  • 2 In medium bowl, mix Bisquick mix, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Dip chicken into water, then coat with Bisquick mixture.
  • 3 In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center. Fill buns with chicken, lettuce, mozzarella cheese and pasta sauce.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Skip the buns and serve the chicken over freshly cooked spaghetti.

Dip chicken into red wine vinegar instead of the water for a zesty Italian taste. If you don't have Italian seasoning, you can use instead 1/2 teaspoon each of dried basil, marjoram, oregano and thyme leaves.
