I like my retro 1960s version of this recipe better: 1/4 c butter 3/4 c brown sugar 1 egg 1 1/3 c Bisquick 1/2 c chopped nuts 1 c (6 oz) Choc chips I use it all the time for a fast option and love them! It's easy for the kids to make too...a lot less measuring than a regular recipe.

I usually make all of my cookies from scratch, but this is an awesome time saver for those days when I have too much to do and NEED a batch of cookies -- though I use 1/2 cu granulated and 1/2 cu brown sugar. I have taken these to a last-minute-notice family reunion, Christmas dinner, as well as them around when friends are over, and every time they are well received :)

It was very easy to make, but must make sure to flaten so they cook evenly. They actually tested better the next day. Would I use this receipe again, probably not.

This was a great recipe for training a young cook. My 8 year old daughter put this together herself, scooped it, and I then placed it in the oven. Make sure to follow the recipe by flattening the dough before baking and also the dough size. Our first batch was too big and tall. But we ate them anyway.=)

Just follow the recipe and you'll have no complaints. No, they don't taste like the traditional "toll house" cookie, but DUH, they're not supposed to. This recipe is a nice varitaion on the old favorite. I've made them for family and friends who love them and go nuts trying to figure out why they're different. I think I'll whip up a batch for my Valentine's this year.

I tried this recipe and it did not taste that good at all. The kids hated it too. Bad idea using Bisquick as the dough for this fab favorite of all kids.

These were okay. I made the recipe with 1/2 cup white sugar & 1/2 cup brown sugar, and only 1 tsp. of vanilla. I added 1/2 cup peanut butter, and used only 2 cups Bisquick. They were a little dry. The next time I will try using 2 eggs instead of just one. Also, I baked them at 350 for about 15 minutes.

Hey - This recipe is excellent. We've made them with 3/4 cup of Rolled Oats,Macadamia Nuts,1 Cup of Choc Chips and they are always super, NEVER DRY. If you have trouble with this recipe give it to your neighbor as a gift and maybe they'll give you some cookies like the 5 star ratings folks have made. Good Luck Bakers
