Easy to make and tasty too. We make this on a regular basis. I make a triple batch and add a 2 lb bag of mixed veggies that give this meal extra flavor. Always filling, my family loves this dish.

This turned out pretty good! Made as written except I added a clove of garlic and some salt and pepper. Maybe some bouillon would add a little more flavor. Was surprised and happy to see the Bisquick rise up so nicely. This is a plain, yet tasty, comfort food recipe. Nothing fancy, just warm and filling.

I made some changes. Used chicken broth instead of milk because I cooked my chicken whole and de-boned it. Added spinach instead of peas. Needed lots of salt and a little pepper. Was great and I have enough soup to feed an army :) lol

I really was feeling for some Chicken and Dumplings, but I've never made them before! I just used this as a base recipe because I used the ingredients I already had on hand instead of going to the store. I used a mixed vegetable blend that included green beans and cauliflower (and carrots!)and frozen pre-diced chicken breast. I've never heard of a condenced chicken mushroom soup so I just used condensed chicken. I threw all this in w/some seasonings. The dumplings are in now...I've already tasted the soup part and its SOOO good.

Best recipe I've tried!! Made a few changes. Sweated onion & garlic with a packet of Swanson Flavor Boost condensed chicken broth, pepper, poultry seasoning & parsley. Added corn to the peas & carrots to make the cup of veggies. Also added 1 can of cream of celery to 1 can of cream of chicken soup & 3 cups of milk instead of 1 1/2 cups--since I doubled the soup. Added parsley to the Bisquick & milk. Didn't use the paprika. My hubby raved & said it was the best I have made ever--so like his Mothers recipe. Now that is a compliment!!

ATT- Only for the Dumplings that died on you last time you made dumplings. Sending everyone a recipe from Heaven or at least it taste heavenly!! 4 table spoons of the chicken broth from the chicken that I cooked and cream cheese about 1/2 of a cup and then about 6 tablespoons of milk. Add your Favorite spices and just a teaspoon of sugar. Enjoy

I also make my own scratch somewhat thickened creamy chicken soup, adding bouillon cubes/granules to boost the flavor and frozen peas and carrots. When it comes to the dumplings . . . follow the recipe on the box turning the mixture onto a floured surface. Knead until no longer sticky, then roll out to about an 1/8" thickness. Slice into 1"x2" rectangles and drop by a few at a time into bubbling liquid. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Dumplings will be "slick" rather than puffy and biscuit-y. I do them in batches.

This is great! I boiled my chicken with a few chicken bullion cubes to give it some flavor. I added corn and fresh chopped jalapenos for a kick. My husband ate two bowls, clapped, and said "Bravo!" I will be making this again soon!

My family gobbled it up! Added 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper, & 1 tsp. dried thyme to the dumpling mixture. Also substituted a bag of mixed vegetables for the peas & carrots, and added 2 par-cooked potatoes. Otherwise, followed cooking instructions exactly. The dumplings turned out perfectly done and fluffy.
