Quick and Easy Apple Fritters

I was trying to create an easy apple fritter. This fit the bill. Although not quite as good as a bakery fritter; it satisfies the yearning for one.The apple pie filling is the secret to its yumminess.

cups Bisquick
1/2
teaspoon cinnamon
1/4
cup sugar

egg
2/3
cup milk
2
cups apple pie filling
4
cups oil
powdered sugar and/or syrup
  1. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350-375 degrees F.
  2. Mix Bisquick, cinnamon and sugar; add egg and milk and mix just till blended. Stir in pie filling.
  3. Drop by small spoonfuls into deep hot fat. Turn and fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve warm sprinkled with powdered sugar or with syrup. (I prefer powdered sugar)
