Enjoy these dessert squares two ways—first savor the aroma as it bakes, then delight in its sweet and spicy flavors as you eat it.

I really wanted to love this one but it's just ok to me. i have made better pumpkin bars and there is another recipe on this site for these thats much better. i would add a tbs of cornstarch to the filling mix just because it's quite watery and made me nervous that it wasnt going to bake right. they came out good but i wouldn't make these again. if you want an amazing recipe try the pumpkin streusal bars!

This is so amazingly delicious! I didn't make my own whipped cream since I already had sugar free Cool Whip in the fridge. Can't wait to make this again!

We love it - it's one of the best desserts I've made. We've had it twice now, it was a huge hit both times. The whipped topping is a fun addition.

I''ve made this dessert twice and it was a hit both times. I''ve been asked to share the recipe by several people. The only thing I changed is making the praline topping with soft butter instead of firm as the recipe calls for. This change made a better topping the second time.

This is a very easy recipe. The flavor is very good. I am not sure about the brown sugar mixed with the nuts for the topping. I do know that it needs to bake longer then the total of 50 minutes the bottom crust sticks to the pan and the filling is not very firm. It was a great hit at a party. Not just a pumkin pie type dessert. We also liked the French Vanilla cool whip better then the whipped topping recipe attached.

I tried this for a family meal. I made a double recipe. Everyone, even those who do not normally like pumpkin enjoyed the dessert. We had a few leftovers, that were taken to a local hospice and given to families and volunteers. Everyone enjoyed the dessert and asked for the recipe.

This recipe reminds of the wonderful pot luck desserts that were served at church. It is easy to prepare and everyone loves the flavor. Thanks!
