EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

For baking cakes, we recommend using stick butter, margarine or vegetable oil spreads with at least 65% fat. We do not recommend using vegetable oil spreads with less than 65% fat, tub margarines or whipped products.

Instead of making the glaze recipe, use Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla ready-to-spread frosting from a 16-ounce tub. Place 1/2 cup frosting in a microwavable bowl. Microwave uncovered on High about 15 seconds or until frosting can be stirred smooth and is thin enough to drizzle.

I just made this cake, but I used a substitute set of ingredients instead of bisquick, and baked it in a 13x9 glass dish. It turned out moist, delicious, and YUMMY!!!

This is a great cake!!!! made it and it was delicious. I added a little of my own flare and added about half a cup of applesauce and it made it more moist and was wonderful. I am making it again for my daughter's 2nd birthday since all she could say last time i made it was "pu-kin peeease" :D

I made this yesterday for the family and it is very good. My glaze did not turn out like the picture, looked more like the glaze on a doughnut! But it tasted wonderful. I think next time I am going to try and cook it in a 13x9 pan and frost with cream cheese icing. :o)
