My pumpkin bread came out very tasty. I used fresh pumpkin in my recipe and after it was done we drizzled warm honey on the top.

I made this for the first time today. Instead of using a can of pumpkin, I roasted and made my own puree. It turned out fantastic. It has recieved great reviews from my family. This is a recipe that has made it to the save and use again section! Super easy to make!

I had a nut, cinnamon and brown sugar topping before baking for an even better flavor.

i think this may be the recipe i started with...grew up with a betty crocker cookbook. over the years i created a phenomenal recipe for pumpkin bread...won many awards plus multitudes asking me to bake. never wrote it down... wanted to keep it secret to pass down. i've had several strokes...try to re-develop my recipe, hope i've found the right beginning...again

I substituted the pumpkin for fresh sweet potato that I had left over from the holidys. It tasted as great as if I were to use pumpkin in a can ( maybe even better). My hole family loved it, that I had to bake more. I even gave some to my mom and dad and they are asking for more.

Everyone loved this bread even the kids! I made it with pecans but the next time I cannot wait to try it with some chocolate chips!

My family and friends all LOVE this bread and eat it warm as soon as it done. I use lots on nuts and raisins in mine. The kids usually love it with raisins more. Even my afterschool kids used to gobble this down when I made it for them. I make several loaves at Xmas and give these out with cookies to my family and neighbors. And every year its a BIG HIT at Christmas ! Although I thought the old recipe I had in my book which I can't find now that we moved used to make 3 big size loaves not 2 ??? So I tried 3 small 8 in ones today to see.

Great recipe used fresh nutmeg with cinnamon. Try roasting your own pumpkin makes the flavor more intense.
