We loved this. I did not think that my kids would like the texture. But they loved it. very easy, smells great while it cooks. I served it a splash of half and half. Yummy!!

I'm about to bake this, so I looked over the reviews. So funny that I was gonna use the cinnamon bread and decided to leave out the currants. Also use light eggnog and a bit less sugar.

By sweet milk, do the reviewers mean Eagle Brand milk or an equivalent?

I have a couple favorite plain bread pudding recipes, so my family is used to this dish. Their response to pumpkin bread pudding was that it was "mushy." I think it would be better with an egg bread like challah, perhaps. It was also better cold than warm. Will I make it again? No, unless I decide to try a firmer egg bread.

This turned out fantastic! I left out the nuts and currants, but added raisins. I used sweet milk, and cinnamon-swirl bread instead of the plain. Everyone loved it.

I didn't have currants or nuts but tried this recipe anyway. It was delish! It's a little bit like warm pumpkin pie without the crust. The bread cubes give it a nice texture. I will make this again. The whole family loved it.

I wasn't impressed. It didn't have much flavor. Not something I'll make again.

I just can''t leave any recipe alone!I substituted pumpkin bread for the plain, left out the currants and used 2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice in place of the cinnamon and nutmeg. Wonderfully rich! A family favorite!
