Expert Tips

Alfredo sauce in a jar works best for this recipe. Refrigerated Alfredo sauce can separate and curdle during baking.

OK, so my grocery store did not have sausage filled ravioli so I used cheese filled and I added some sweet italian sausage. I also omitted the red peppers (just dont like them), and instead of parm croutons I used italian croutons and put shredded parm cheese on top. I really like it and it was real easy to throw togther. My husband also enjoyed it dispite the fact he dont care for alfredo, but my kids did not care for it. My dauughter is not a picky eater and she eats everything I make but she didn't care for this at all, so not a good meal for kiddos.

This is a new recipe I cook regularly in my house! You can use whatever kind of frozen raviolis you can get your hands on (I've used sausage, beef, and just cheese). I've also found the easiest way to do the sauce is use 1 jar of Classico's roasted red pepper alfredo - then you don't have to deal with the red peppers, and you have the flavor. Take the jar of sauce and add the required milk and italian seasonings; a touch of pepper also is good! I also play with different types of croutons. I can easily get several different varieties with just one recipe! It's one of my husband's favorites!

Yech! I was really looking forward to this dish. It has all the ingredients I like, but it is so bland. I had to add salt to my serving. The dish should be savory, but had a sweet taste to it. I'm not sure if it was my alfredo sauce or what. I used Newman's Own, which I had never tried before. It tasted fine when I sampled it before dumping it into the dish. I'm not sure what you could do to spice it up a bit, so I will not be making this one again.
