Prickly Pear Sauce

Ingredients

prickly pears, peeled and cut into about 1-inch pieces
2
tablespoons honey
1
teaspoon cornstarch
1
teaspoon grated tangerine peel, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Place prickly pears in food processor workbowl fitted with steel blade or in blender container. Cover and process until smooth. Press through sieve to remove seeds. Mix pears, honey and cornstarch in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in tangerine peel; cool.
