Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 425°F. Spray bottoms and sides of 12 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray. Stir together butter, brown sugar and pecans in small bowl. Divide sugar mixture evenly among muffin cups.
  • 2 Stir Bisquick mix, milk and granulated sugar in medium bowl until soft dough forms. Place a spoonful of dough in each muffin cup.
  • 3 Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Turn pan upside down onto cookie sheet. Leave pan over biscuits a few minutes to allow brown sugar mixture to drizzle over biscuits. Replace topping from pan on biscuits. Cool slightly before serving; serve warm.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

You can buy pecans already chopped. Or chop them using a chef's knife. When chopped in a food processor, there will be more very tiny pieces.

If you don't use pecans often, keep them tightly wrapped in the freezer so they don't become rancid.

These are the best! My mom makes them often. I made them myself for the first time today and they were just as good as my mom's. I did half as full size muffins and half as mini muffins (reduce bake time to 9 minutes for mini muffin size. The biscuits are so moist and the toping is so delicious! They were gone in a few hours with the help of 3 hungry men!

I added a teaspoon of cinnamon to the biscuit mix and the flavor really pops! I will be making these for Easter.

If you are a diabetic, you can also use splenda brown sugar in the topping and splenda applesauce in place of the sugar in the biscuit. My husband loves these!
