For some extra energy, spread the tops of cooled brownies with peanut butter or almond butter.
Instead of making the brownies into cupcake shapes, bake in an 11x7-inch pan for 31 to 34 minutes, then cut into 4 rows by 3 rows after cooling.
To crush cereal, place in resealable food-storage plastic bag; seal bag and crush with rolling pin or meat mallet (or crush in food processor).
