I'm not sure why this recipe received this high of a rating. Yes, it was easy and it was ok, but nothing that I would crave or in my husband's words 'this wouldn't be anything that I would ask you to make again'. I would skip this dish and try another.

A very easy dish. I used real chicken and sauted it with chili powder and a little bit of salsa. It definitely added more kick. I also added in a little bit extra salsa and cheese, since my family loves both.

Very quick and easy recipe. I used more salsa to give it an extra kick! Also cut up chicken breasts rather than using canned chicken and it worked great. Will definitely make again!

This was great! But I didn't use the canned chicken, I cut up skinless boneless chicken strips and just mixed it all together, and it was delicious. I wish I'd added more salsa though, because it gives it such a great flavor. Also, I only used cheddar cheese.

This reminded me a lot of the Potatoes Rancheros recipe, except with chicken. It had the same yummy taste and pleased every family member, from my dad down to my seven-year-old brother.

My Mother made this back when I was in high school and it was our family favorite. She ended up losing the recipe and her and I both after all these years tried to get the measurments right based on memory. Well, I found the recipe on this site and we are both incredibly happy. I was able to make it for my boyfriend last night and the only question he had is, why didn't I double it! I followed this recipe exactly and I think it's PERFECT. Love it. And yes, I will double it next time :)

It was a little salty and my younger kids would not eat it. I will add a little more water next time though the potatoes were to dry.

My entire family loves this recipe. We use two cooked chicken breasts instead of canned chicken for a single batch. A single batch is not enough for my family though so we double it, but to keep the potatos from getting too mushy we cook it in two seperate pans rather than a bigger casserole dish.
