This was excellent, although I did sub a can of whole baby clams for one of the minced and added a cup of salad shrimp to give it more flavor. When I did this it tasted just like restaurant style clam chowder. My husband was very happy :)

This is a quick and easy recipe. My husband and I loved it. I added some crumbled bacon and the taste was great. This is a great quick Chowder, perfect for rainy/snowy days..

There are never any leftovers when I make this at home! I switch it up sometimes and also add some already cooked chicken chunks, or different vegetables, such as corn, carrots, etc. I experiment with adding different cheeses and spices. DEFINTELY a keeper in my recipe book. :)

I was surprised how good this recipe turned out! I doubled it and added more clams than the recipe called for. I also used low-fat half and half to replace some of the milk. This was very tasty and easy to make!!

I found the chowder to be to busy and the broccoli hid the taste of the clams... My family also didn't like the cheese in the soup. I made it again with hashbrown potatoes and one fresh potato washed and diced, onion, dill weed, S&p, bacon bits, white shoe peg corn, 1/2 & 1/2, pat of butter, clams & juice... It went over alot better this time... This was a good recipe to start from....

I made this tonight for dinner it was easy, fast and everyone loved it. I doubled the recipe and I used a box Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and a box of Cheddar & Bacon Potatoes instead because that's what I had. I figured since some reviewers added bacon that the bacon in the potatoes couldn't be bad. I also used a whole bag of Bird's Eye baby corn & vegetable blend. I only had two cans of clams and like other reviewers I sauteed the onion in oil first. It turned out really good, I sprinkled some old bay on top of my second bowl before eating it to try and next time I will add some old bay while cooking it and maybe baby shrimp too. Even after doubling the recipe there was no leftovers.
