I have now made this multiple times and absolutely love it. The only thing I have changed is I use Picante sauce instead of salsa... gives it a creamer sauce.

I made this dish last night for my husband and I. I doubled the recipe just to make sure we had enough. I used one box of regular Au Gratin potatoes and one box of three cheese Au Gratin potatoes and I used fresh broccoli that I blanched before adding to the dish. I must say this was a really good meal that I will certainly make again. I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. I am a gourmet cook and usually spend quite a bit of time in the kitchen. It is nice to come across a recipe such as this that is quick, easy and very tasty. After reading some of the reviews, it is a must that you add the salsa. I used Herdez brand "hot" salsa which really added a nice "kick" to the meal. I read a comment about using a chunky salsa because one reviewer said their salsa made the dish too soupy, so I slightly strained my salsa in order to avoid that. The dish came out creamy and very flavorful. I will definitely make this meal again and I recommend it for a quick weeknight dinner.

This was an excellent meal! I used it to feed 11 people. I omiited the salsa and I'm going to add shredded cheddar cheese the next time we do this one. It was very filling and tasted great. It was also fairly cheap to make.

This was an easy and great tasting meal! My whole family liked it. I used smoked sausage because that is what I had on hand, I also added a little red pepper to give it a little kick. It was delicious a keeper recipe for sure!

I generally cook long versions of everything, but every now and then I need and "easy" break. So I check out recipes on this site. This is one of the recipes that I tried a couple of nights ago, and it was not only easy, but great tasting. I had smoked sausage on hand so I used that and fresh brocolli from our garden. I tend to be more critical about meals than my husband, but we both thought this recipe is a winner. I will definitely be making it again.

OMG! I made this for the first time last nite and it was AWESOME. I made my own alterations to it. I used one box of Betty Crocker potatoes (loaded flavor) and one box of Velveeta scalloped potatoes. Using the flavor potatoes gives it more flavor. Instead of using salsa, i just cut up some tomatoes (i was afraid to use the salsa). Quick, cheap, and filling!!!
