Apples and sage-scented stuffing made from an easy packaged mix cook with smoked chops, then rest overnight to marry flavors even more.
It is safe to place the fully cooked smoked pork chops over the stuffing and refrigerate overnight; the pork is thoroughly heated with the stuffing. Smoked pork chops are similar in color to ham.
For more flavor, add an additional 1/2 teaspoon of crushed dried sage leaves to the stuffing.
For moister stuffing, add 1/4 cup of additional apple juice.
This recipe may be baked as directed on the recipe immediately after assembly.
