Margs on the patio, anyone? Shake up your usual margarita with this pomegranate margarita recipe. The deep jewel tones of this refreshing cocktail make it perfect for summertime gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup fresh pomegranate juice (or bottled)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon blue agave nectar or honey
  • Lime wedges, if desired

Steps

    In a cocktail shaker, add all ingredients except lime wedges. Shake until mixed. Pour through a strainer into two glasses; garnish each with lime wedge.

    If you prefer salt- or sugar-rimmed glasses, prepare glasses before making the Pomegranate Margaritas. To prepare glasses, pour a small amount of either coarse salt or sugar on small plate. Moisten rim of each glass with lime wedge; dip rims in salt or sugar. Chill glasses in freezer until ready to use.
