Ingredients

Simple Syrup

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Cocktail

  • Ice cubes
  • 1/4 cup Simple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Garnishes

  • Lime slices or curls
  • Lemon slices or curls
  • Pomegranate seeds

Steps

    Make Simple Syrup. In 1-quart saucepan, heat sugar and water over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, just until mixture boils and sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat; cool.

    In cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes, add 1/4 cup of the cooled Simple Syrup and all remaining Cocktail ingredients. Cover; shake until chilled and well mixed. Pour through strainer into 2 chilled glasses. Garnish with lime slices, lemon slices and pomegranate seeds.
