Pizza Alfredo

pound bulk Italian sausage

large onion, chopped (1 cup)

package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms (3 cups)

container (10 ounces) refrigerated Alfredo sauce

loaf French bread (12 inches long), cut horizontally in half

cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)

  • 1 Cook sausage, onion and mushrooms in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Stir in Alfredo sauce.
  • 2 Place bread halves, cut sides up, on ungreased cookie sheet. Spread with sausage mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 3 Set oven control to broil. Broil with tops 5 inches from heat 1 to 2 minutes or until pizzas are hot and cheese begins to brown.
