I made this for my son's 4th birthday. It was a lot easier than I thought and it came out just like the picture. It was a huge hit and tasted delicious! I strongly suggest freezing the cake pieces as suggested as it makes frosting it easier.

I made this for my boy/girl twins, for their 7th birthday! It was a lot simplier than I anticipated it to be. I even made one a girl by putting rosey cheeks and a bow in her hair! They absolutely loved them and I got all kinds of great reviews on how neat they were!

I made this for my son't 5th birthday party and it was awesome. It was much easier than other cakes I've made in the past and it looked so impressive! I used a chocolate covered oreo for the eyepatch. Also, I had a gummy eye from Halloween that I used for his eye. Easy. I just looked through our candy before I started. I used everything else the same. It took me less than 2 hours to piece together and decorate. Really not bad for such an amazing looking cake!

Great recipe and easy cake to make. Take your time and let each section cool and freeze well before frosting. My son had this for his pirate birthday party and it was gone quickly! Thanks!
