box Pineapple or Yellow cake mix
1
can sliced pineapple
8
tablespoons butter
brown sugar
cherries
nuts (optional)
  1. Cover an even layer of brown sugar on the bottom of a 9x13 dish. Melt the butter and pour over top.
  2. Cover with sliced pineapple, cherries, and nuts as desired.
  3. Make the cake mix as directed on the box and pour into the dish over top the pineapple.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Let cool for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Loosen the edges of the cake with a butter knife and carefully flip over onto a platter.
