Pineapple Upside-Down Martinis

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • Ice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup vanilla rum
  • 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup

    Place brown sugar in wide, shallow bowl. Wet each martini glass rim with water; dip rim into brown sugar to coat.
  • 2
    Fill shaker with ice. Pour pineapple juice, rum and grenadine syrup over ice; shake well. Pour chilled martini into martini glasses.

  • To get brown sugar to adhere better to the martini glasses, use corn syrup instead of water.
  • For garnish, use pineapple slices and cherries.
