Really good recipe and super easy. I used a little more butter and brown sugar and it was perfect! A big hit for my husband, the birthday boy. I strongly recommend serving it warm like the instructions say.

I just made this and it tastes real good but the cake is so poofy and light that it crumbles when I touch it with the fork. Great tasting but kinda impossible to scoop into the mouth. Any suggestions?

I used fresh pineapple and it was quite good. I wouldn't have liked it with canned.

I made this cake in a 9 inch round and once in a 9 inch square. Both worked out....it was very good but on the brown sugar I used 1/2 cup.....nice cake Some pineapple stayed in the pan when I turned it over but I just took it out and put it back on.

Excellent balance between the über sweet sugar and the plain cake. You don't want the cake too sweet because when you flip it over warm and let it sit, the sugar seeps into the cake! This simple recipe was a hit!
