Fast and easy to make - always a hit! I do add about 3/4 cup of chopped pecans to the butter brown sugar mixture and lay my pineapple on top of that. Also, spritz a little whipping cream on top before serving! YUM

This is a very delicious recipe. Even if you don't typically care for this sort of thing, give it a try because it really is that good. Makes a nice sized small cake for those times when you don't want to make (and eat) a lot of cake.

It was heavenly! I gave 4 stars because , I modified a bit. Added some almond and vanilla extract, fresh pineapples and 2 tbs of a slice of pineapple blended with 2 tbs water ( because I didnt have pineapple extract/ essence). Used butter for topping and canola oil for the cake itself. Next time I would reduce the amount of butter in the topping. Ate it warm and it was soooo delicious. Moist, Pineapply,Buttery Caramely goodness. I dont want to eat it all up :'( 30 mins since it came out and 1/4 th is already over.

So, I need a hand here. It's kinda last minute, but hope someone can chip in. I'm using this recipe, but instead of a 9-inch pan I want to use a 13x9inch pan. Can anyone tell me how much extra of each ingredient do I have to put in?

You can mix the cake by hand but it won't be quite the same texture as mixed with an electric mixer. The mixer incorporates more air into the batter for a lighter cake. The recipe was created with an electric mixer and all the kitchen testing was done with a portable electric mixer - a favorite Betty Crocker recipe!

Have made this cake several times and always comes out perfect! Very moist and delicious. Everyone who tries it asks for the recipe. I'm almost embarassed to tell them because it's so simple.
