This is my boyfriends absolute favorite cake and he doesn't have to eaten gluten free, I DO! But I have to make this for him all the time! It definitely takes the full 45min plus in my oven, but is soooo worth it! And I too use the pineapple juice from the slices in place of water. Phenomenomal!!!

This was great. I reserved the juice from the pineapples and use it in place of the water. My husband did not believe it was a gluten free cake and the grandchildren loved it. This will be made over and over again.

This is excellent! Everyone in my family including those who can eat gluten loved it. It does take every bit of 45 minutes to cook though, so be prepared for that. Oh so good.

This cake is great even for people who aren't gluten intolerant. My non gluten intolerant husband loves it. I substituted the water in the cake recipe for the pineapple juice & used agave instead of corn syrup.

WOW, this was awesome and easy. I made it as directed. Family that are not on a gluten free diet could not tell the difference!

I made this recipe for a meeting of the Celiac Sprue support group, and members raved about it. This moist delicious cake reminded us of earlier years when we thought we could eat anything we wanted, and our mothers used to make this. With the Betty Crocker GF yellow cake mix, it is just as good as we remembered it. I have also served it to a group of friends and they only realized that it must be gluten free when they saw me eating it! One comment was that this cake is better than the regular yellow cake mix.
