Directions

  • 1 Pre-heat the oven according to the biscuit recipe. Spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • 2 Make the recipe on the Bisquick box for drop biscuits and divide the biscuit dough in half.
  • 3 Leaving space between each biscuit, drop ten biscuits using half of the batter and spreading each in a horizontal length instead of round.
  • 4 Lay one hot dog on top of each biscuit and then cover the hot dogs with the remaining half of the batter, again working to form the batter up and down the length of the hot dog.
  • 5 The hot dog will be exposed on both ends. Bake according to the biscuit recipe.
  • 6 Serve with mustard or ketchup for dipping. We like to drizzle mustard on the top of ours.

I tried this recipe and thought it was alright. I am used to croissant dogs that i used to be able to eat. This made me think about the different textures of the different Gluten-free Bisquick recipes. These are WAY better and easier to make if you use the pizza crust recipe and bake for 15 mins at 425.

YUMMY ! yes yummy. i had not enjoyed a hot dog with bread for 3 years. this easy & good recipe is great for kids & adults on a gluten free diet. you could even make them smaller by cutting the hot dogs in half using less biscuit for an after school or movie time snack.
