Ingredients

cups Original Bisquick® mix
1
egg
1/2
cup milk
16
cocktail-size smoked link sausages
16
bamboo skewers (6 to 8 inches)
1/2
cup maple syrup, warmed

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray, or line with cooking parchment paper.
  • 2 In large bowl, mix 1 cup of the Bisquick mix, the egg and milk with whisk or fork until blended.
  • 3 In small bowl, place 1/4 cup Bisquick mix. Thread each cocktail sausage on 1 end of a skewer. Dip each sausage first into dry Bisquick mix, then into batter. Place on cookie sheet.
  • 4 Bake 14 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 to 3 minutes on cookie sheet before removing. Serve with syrup for dipping.

For banana flavor, add 1 mashed ripe medium banana to pancake batter. Sprinkle pancake pops with chopped walnuts before baking.

Tried this recipe, not bad. I made them with skewers and then made them in a mini-muffin pan. I liked the mini-muffin pan best. I plan to play with either the mix to spice it up or use a different dipping sauce next time.
