We thought this was pretty darn good! Left out the mushrooms and added several cloves of minced garlic to the ground beef while cooking it. I contemplated adding cream of mushroom soup or some ketchup to the ground beef, but decided not to in the end. Other than that, I followed the recipe as is. It was plenty cheesy for us, but hey, if you want more, add some more! My only complaint about this dish is that it doesn't reheat well... Not in the microwave anyway!

this message is for lindykay. you have to add seasoning for the dish to taste great that is all. you cant just put salt and pepper you need more seasoning and the dish comes out fantatstic. try putting in some garlic powder, sazon, onion powder and some salt and pepper. just like any food. if you dont season it it wont taste good.

My dh and I loved this recipe. I did make one slight change to the recipe and that was I used almost an entire container of Philadelphia Cooking Cream (Savory Garlic) 1/2 less fat mixed in with the hamburger, after it was drained. I will definitely be making this dish again.

Sounds delicious. Can't wait to try it out with my family. I love all the suggestions and will be putting my own touches on it too. I think I will add extra cheese as suggested, and season up the ground beef or turkey I use with some italian seasoning, and whatever else inspires me next week.

Sorry, but this casserole had absolutely no flavor and could use a lot more cheese. First disappointment with one of your recipes.

Super easy recipe and the whole family loved it. I cooked the peppers, onions, and mushrooms separately and everyone just added in what they liked after it came out of the oven. Def have this saved in the recipe box.

I made this last night and it was a hit! Very easy to make and it took very little time, even when you throw juggling a 4 month old into the mix :)

I made this tonight and it went over well with the family. Because some said the flavor was bland, I substituted a few dashes of worcestershire for salt in the meat/mushroom blend. Also added another dash of salt and a few grinds of pepper to the onions and bell peppers while cooking. On the whole, I thought the end result was good. The biscuits were done on top (browned) at 22 mins so I took the dish out of the oven. We discovered they were still a little gooey on the bottom when we cut into everything, but my husband insisted he likes biscuits that way. Oh, and if you're worried about trans fat, just read the labels on the biscuit canisters and pick one that suits you. Several types have zero trans fat and still taste great.
