I made this for my work birthday treat and it was such a hit. Everyone adored it. Definitely recommend it, though it is a little work intensive.

This was awesome!! I'm new to baking but still managed to pull this off and make it look amazing. The taste was good as well. I personally wasn't in love with the cream, but it was good in small amounts.

This dessert ROCKED out. Seriously. I don't use 'mixes' tho (my family doesn't eat white stuff...white sugar...white flour...) I did use my own brownie recipe but followed the rest using organic cream and organic chocolate chips. I doubled the recipe for the cream and the ganache so it looked like a peppermint and chocolate avalanche all over the side..lol.. Didn't bother with the trees. Took this as a dessert to church and even the people that don't eat chocolate sneaked some when they thought no one was looking. This is an easy recipe for making something that looks difficult. Will definately make again....

I have added Rainbow Dust to top it off.. the sugar crystals are pretty.. but the Rainbow Dust adds the Snow Sparkle that makes it POP !!! and jump off the plate! =D

@hausfrau1...The Betty Crocker website is a vehicle for their products. This recipe could be made with any brownie mix or recipe. When I find a recipe for something, I look in two or three places and pick the pieces I like from each.

This is a recipe for their boxed brownie mix. No need to have one from scratch on here. Not everyone bakes that way, although I do, but I also appreciate a little help now and then especially when my rheumatoid arthritis is flared up.

Please, please, PLEASE if you MUST have recipes that use boxed/prepared mixes could you ALSO have how to make it from SCRATCH for those of us who still prefer to bake/prepare things that way?

My niece made this for Christmas 2009 and again for Thanksgiving 2010. It was a hit with our family. Hers was just as pretty as the picture with the Christmas trees on top. I will request this anytime she will make it for me!!! I love the peppermint with the chocolate!! Would recommend this to all!!

This was good, but a little messy. You have to be careful how long you cook your brownie too. You don't want it too tough, then it gets hard when you cut it. I liked it, but not sure if I will make it again.

Everyone loved this! I left out the peppermint flavor and candies and tripled the recipe. I didn't have any left to take home after the big family get-together. I will be making this again.
