Just throwing it out there after reading the reviews, I'm pretty sure they used a stencil for the sprinkle design.

These cookies were easy, but nothing special. Impossible to sprinkle the sugar on like the picture. I just sprinkled on top of the cookes.

These cookies were amazing and delicious! We are going to make these again, and again, and again. We doubled the amount of peppermint extract. It was impossible for us to make the red pinwheels. After trying for 20 minutes we decided to simply sprinkle the red and green sugar on top. They looked pretty and tasted awesome!!!

I would like to try this one out BUT, I don't understand something,Could someone explain - What does it mean it take the bottom of a glass, press it onto the cookie ball TO GREASE and then into the grandulated sugar? I'm missing something here... Thanks, Also, if using red sugar is so difficult, why not try using icing? White frosting w/red pin stripe - sounds like it might be alot easier....what is the general concenses?

These cookies were delicious! Almost impossible to decorate like they want you to, unless you have a lot of time on your hands. I doubled the amount of peppermint and vanilla extract that it called for, and I believe that they turned out much better. Making these next year for sure!

A great recipe except for the decorating part in which I finally used a small baby spoon and slowly put red sugar on. Also changed recipe a little by doing 1/2 tsp. of vanilla and 1 tsp of peppermint so there was a good peppermint flavor as the first batch had no flavor to it at all and the second one turned out great. Definitly not a quick cookie as it takes time to get the sugar right.

I made these cookies this morning for treat baskets to give to neighbors and friends and so far everyone who has tried them loves them and they were super easy to make. I found that spraying the bottom of the glass with cooking spray was the easest way to press them down and also the plastic bag method was the best way to decorate them. Thanks for an easy and festive cookie recipe!!!

I was not impressed with this recipe. I didn't taste the peppermint in the cookie. Also, when attempting to design the cookies - lets just say - mine really didn't look like the picture shows them.
