I love causas. Making the causa from poeatots is more economical if you have that extra bit of time, but instant mash still has its place there. After mashing the poeatots, I found it too wet/soft/sticky for causa, so I mixed in a couple of handfuls of instant mash powder until I got the perfect consistency for the dough . Worked a treat!

It's a very quick recipe.I was up early and made 4 loaves for a open house. Added some dried Jalapeno to it also. The loaves went so fast I couldn't slice it fast enough.
