Spice up the appetizer table with this south-of-the-border take on a cheese ball. Pepper Jack cheese turns up the heat, cilantro and lime add fresh zest and a crushed tortilla-chip coating adds crunch.

I made this for a Christmas Eve get together with a few modifications. I left out the sour cream, onion powder, I added some chilli powder and cumin instead. Everyone loved it!Out of the two cheeseballs I made, they liked this one best. I will make it again.

This was so bland. I made the recipe exactly as instructed switching out of olives for green chilies. The Doritos were mushy within a few hours of being in the fridge and smell of the Doritos and cream cheese smelled unappetizing.

It was great, Loved it better with Sour Cream, Because it was easier to spread. But, just put a 1/4 cup of Sour Cream or it or it will take away the spicy taste. People at work loved it. I'm sure they will be wanting me to make it again. Thanks for the recipe

This was very good and not overly spicy - just right. I also added sour cream based on the other reviews and it helped the spreadability. I wondered if putting the nacho crumbs on beforehand would make them soggy, but having leftovers for a few days, I found they did not.

This is a great recipe. I went with TennMom's idea and added some sour cream to it. I also used Blazin Buffalo & Ranch Doritos for the outside.

made this recipe for a school function. It has a great flavor, that any cheese lover would enjoy, but needs to be a little more spreadable.

Very tasty, with the blend of cheeses and spices, but it definitely could use some sour cream. I've been making my own cream cheese ball recipe for years and the secret to making it spreadable is sour cream, blended with the other cheeses. And, a couple of dashes of a good hot sauce will add a little zip. The great thing about cream cheese ball recipes is that one can make so many wonderful and tasty variations.

I made this dip for a holiday party and it was really a hit. I think I might add a bit of sour cream to it the next time just to make it a little more "spreadable". Even letting it sit out a bit before serving it didn't seem to help with the "stiffness" of the cheeseball. The flavors were terrific together. I'll definitely make it again.
