This was one of the first pies I ever made, and it turned out to be the life of the holiday party I served it at- no one believed it was homemade. I did get a little bit creative with the ingredients though. I substituted 1/2 c. cherry pie filling for the dry cherries, and I added a pinch of cinnamon as well. I think my next experiment will be to add crushed sliced almonds to the streusel top...
