This is a great recipe!!We liked it better than apple crisp Only used the juice of 1 lemon- that is all I had- so I cut the cornstarch to 1TBSP also. Did not have apple pie spice so found a recipe for that online- (4tsp cinnamon, 2tsp nutmeg, 1tsp cardamom- mix and measure). Otherwise followed the recipe. Will definitely make again!!

This recipe is absolutely wonderful and a new fall favorite! The flavors of both the apples and pears were delicious and the crumb topping was just right. I used Golden Delicious apples and Bartlett pears for the recipe. It helped to cook the fruit on the stove top and thicken the sauce before baking. This recipe is best served warm!

I was a little concerned about all the lemon juice this recipe called for considering the small amount of sugar used, but it turned out fantastic! I used Granny Smith's and pears from my neighbor's tree because that what I had on hand. I'll make this again!
