The kids & I loved this recipe! Very easy to make and was good with or without any toppings. The recipe made enough batther for 10 waffle toast pieces rather than the 6-8 listed.

This recipe sounds very easy. I'm gonna try making it with my Belgian waffle maker. Would be nice for Sunday mornings. I didn't rate it a 5 spooner cuz I haven't tried making it yet. Wish me luck!

My oldest sone had a friend over this weekend and he is the pickest eater EVER. I made these waffles and the kids ate them for 2 days. The child even wanted the recipe to give to his mom. These are a must, I really enjoyed them as well as my youngest son who is just as picky. It is very easy to make and smells up the whole house heavenly. THANKS!!! :)

Extremely delicious! It was so different and very fun to make! I used milk chocolate chips instead of semisweet though and it tasted so good! I had no problems with this what so ever and instead of topping with syrup we used a dab of cool whip instead. Yummy! To keep the bread from sticking or falling apart, don't coat too heavily with the batter and grease your waffle iron good.

I really tried to make this work. It was a mess in the waffle iron so next I tried pancakes. The batter was too fragile so I ended up dipping the bread into the batter and making french toast. Use only a little oil, the butter mixed in made them too brown before the batter was cooked. I don't think I will make this in any form again. Too much work for just a little benefit.

Really yummy and very easy! Didn't have any chocolate chips but it was still delicious. Topped it off with the powdered sugar and a little bit of syrup... yum! Used a spoon to turn the slices when coating them in the batter and then lifting onto the waffle iron. Took a little bit to clean the waffle iron afterwards (just getting off the stuck on batter) but was worth it and not that tough.
