Great tasting dessert for my family and me. The dessert didn't last for a good one hour. This recipe is so much easier to make than the ones I had made in the past.

These are the easiest dessert to make and they are simply delicious......you can use any chocolate in the house. I made these last night and only had 8 hershey kisses, 5 dark chocolate snack size bars and a handful of white chocolate kisses in the house so I made do, I microwaved them, stirred it up and it was fantastic.....sent them to school and everyone wants the recipe........

A family favorite, we've been making these for the past couple of years. You don't need 2c of chips though, 1 1/2c will do perfectly and you'll never miss the other 1/2c...might as well save a few calories. Also, we use 3/4c-1c peanut butter chips plus 1/2c-3/4 c choc chips. I don't care for butterscotch chips and although I'm a chocolate lover, all choc chip topping doesn't taste good b/c it's too much chocolate flavor and overpowers the peanut butter cookie mix. We also add another 1T of water so that it's a little less dense. We keep ours in the refrigerator so the topping stays hard. These don't last 24 hrs in my house of 5!

Made this for my husbands birthday and he loved it! I used a round spring form pan and that worked perfectly. It made a perfect big cookie after the topping had cooled.

Delicious! My husband is a very picky eater and likes very few sweets but he loves these bars! I did add peanut butter chips to the base. I will definitely make these again.

When I was spreading the chips, they seemed to be spreading a little too thin, so I melted more. I should not have done that because then there was too much chocolate and it kind of overpowered the bars! So don't make the same mistake I did. These bars are very good, of course. But they are basically peanut butter cookies with chocolate on top. Not terribly unique or creative. I probably won't be making these again.
