Ingredients

box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® party rainbow chip cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1
quart frozen yogurt (any flavor), slightly softened
Candy decorations, fresh fruit or whipped cream, as desired

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Make, bake and cool cake as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan.
  • 2 Spread frozen yogurt over top of cake. Immediately cover and freeze at least 4 hours until firm.
  • 3 Just before serving, top each serving as desired. Cover and freeze any remaining cake.

This was the best and easiest ice cream cake ever... There is just one thing I would have done differently and maybe would have made the cake into two small circle cakes and layer the cake and ice cream. Also we topped ours with strawberry sauce... everyone LOVED it. I Just used regular strawberry ice cream :)

I did this for my daughter birthday, and it was a truly treat for her and friend. They couldn''t get enough of the cake, and plus it''s a whole lot cheaper than buying one special made.
