I liked the idea of this recipe but I made several changes. I used frozen mixed vegetables instead of O'Brien potatoes, but I made the topping more as mashed potatoes than potato-thickened sauce. I searched around and found a from-scratch replacement for the cooking sauce. I used 1 cup of Buds with about 2 cups of my homemade cooking sauce to get a flavorful mashed potato mixture, and poured an additional one cup of the sauce over my ham and vegetables. The dinner was good although not going on our favorites list. I would make it again, with the same ingredients although I think the sauce/potato ratio would need more tweaking. It was almost too flavorful!
