I dont know what I did wrong but mine didnt rise... I had to leave in for almost and hr to get them to poof up a bit. Maybe I should of mixed the yeast with warm water before mixing in... However flavor was ok ... Needs more.

I would wait to add the apples to the cinnamon sugar mixture until you are ready to spread it over the dough, otherwise the juice from the apples runs out as you try to roll up the dough. I also doubled the amount of cinnamon and thought it was perfect. Caramel bottom came out perfect and delicious. Enter your review here...

Just had to try these with apples in season. Went together very nice. Very nice taste. I too, could not get them caramelly but, it was OK. The apples in the filling were juicy by the time you get to putting the rolls together and the cinnamon/apply juice just wanted to run out when rolling up. Next time, I think I will butter the dough, sprinkle the cinnamon/sugar mixture and sprinkle the apples.

The bread is pretty good, but overall this just didn't cut it. I didn't get the top (once you flip it) to be caramel-appley. Not sure how it was supposed to get gooey and caramely - the tops were dark and so the rolls had to be removed maybe before it could reach gooey consistency. It tasted and had the texture of applesauce on a cinnamon roll.

This sounds a lot like my Mother's to-die-for "carmel nut rolls", except the addition of apples should make a wonderful flavor addition. I know her temp. setting was lower, so if they come out too dark you can set oven lower and bake a little longer. This is a must try for this holiday week end, thanx!
