Ingredients

saltine crackers
1
cup butter
1
cup dark brown sugar
12
ounce semi-sweet chocolate chips
1
cup toasted pecans (chopped)

  • 1 Line a 10
  • 2 Melt butter in a large sauce pan. Brush parchment paper with a little butter.
  • 3 Line up crackers on buttered parchment. Touching but not overlapping!
  • 4 Wisk brown sugar into remaining butter. Set over medium heat. Bring to a boil & thicken. (2 mins)
  • 5 Pour evenly over crackers
  • 6 Slide into a 400 degree over and bake until evenly brown and bubbly. (10 mins). Remove from oven.
  • 7 Scatter molten surface with chocolate chips and allow to melt. (5 mins). Use an offset spatula to even chocolate.
  • 8 Cast on nuts and gently press into surface with our hand.
  • 9 Freeze until firm. (30 mins)
  • 10 Lift out of tray by overlapping parchment and set on flat surface for cutting.

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE These!!! I have made them for years but used regular sugar going to have to try with brown sugar now!!

I have had a similar one except they used grahm crackers not saltines and I bet grahm holds up better.
