I decided to try this recipe because I thought it sounded like a nice change. It was nice, but I won't make it again. These cookies are incredibly sweet!

What is the "1/2" referring to on the recipe between 2 cups flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda?

Oh, my! One of the best! I used real fruit snacks, so they''re sticky in the inside, and just melts in your mouth!

I decided to make these cookies once before I made them for my holiday cookie tray. I love the combination of chocolate and orange, and they tasted great but looked awful. They spread so bad, so then I chilled the dough for 6 hrs. and they still spread out flat, nothing like the picture. Any ideas what I did wrong? Seems like everyone else had great results!

My sister made these cookies and gave me a bag full. My husband has eaten all but two. I did get to eat one and I find them very delicious. Just the right amount of chocolate and orange. Some chopped pecans would be good too.I am looking forward to making this recipe myself.

I made these yesterday as part of my annual Christmas cookie baking (made about 40 dozen cookies!). I, too, found cutting the orange slices with scissors sprayed with a bit of non-stick cooking spray easier than cutting with a knife. It was not bad at all. I cut them into sixths, used regular size chocolate chips and made smaller cookies since I use them on platters with a variety of other cookies. Just bake them a couple of minutes less. They are delicious!

These are the most amazing cookies. I baked them for work but we ate so many out of the oven I had to bake more. I''ve passed around this recepie and everyone loves it. Don''t be put off by the orange slice candy ingredient. It only takes minutes to cut them up, I use my kitchen scissors, and it makes a great cookie.
