Elvis certainly wasn’t the only fan of peanut butter and bananas. The popular combo gets a tasty upgrade in this quick, low-fat appetizer recipe.

Ingredients

1
container (8 oz) whipped cream cheese spread
1/3
cup creamy peanut butter
2
tablespoons sugar
1
teaspoon vanilla
48
round buttery crackers
8
medium fresh strawberries
2
small bananas

Directions

  • 1 In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla. Spread about 1 1/2 teaspoons cream cheese mixture on each cracker.
  • 2 Cut each strawberry lengthwise in half; cut each half into 3 wedges. Cut each banana lengthwise in half, then cut crosswise into 12 slices. Place 1 banana slice and 1 strawberry wedge on each cracker.

Expert Tips

Mix the cream cheese mixture up to 1 day ahead and store in the refrigerator until it's time to assemble the appetizer.
