This has become a standard at every event and everyone that trys it sticks around for a while. I have done heart shapes for Bridal events, a duckie shape for baby shower... the pears were so beautiful no one wanted to cut them or could believe I made them! The flavor is execellant. It is a great do ahead appetizer and I always save some aside for a wine and cheese snack for my husband and I a few days or so after the big event.
