I have been making this for over 45 years. My mother in law gave me my Betty Crocker Cookbook when I first got married. We've never found a better recipe. Also you can tell that it is my favorite cookbook by all the food stains on it. It is worn out from love.

I love bread pudding and this recipe really hit the spot! It was super quick and easy. I just cut it in half because I knew I would end up eating it all myself :)

This was good. After researching other recipes online, they all said to use 4 eggs. So I increased the eggs to 4. I heated the milk and butter. Then added all of the ingredients and put in the crock pot for 3 hours. I did add an additional 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg along with the 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Other recipes called for 1 cup of raisins, that is waaaay too much. Use 1/2 cup of raisins like this recipe says!
