Mmm! Make rich buttery, brown sugar and oat cookies with a hint of cinnamon and a bunch of juicy raisins.

I was too lazy to do the whole drop-cookie thing with multiple rounds of cookie sheets in the oven so made the "squares" version of these in a 8x8x2 pan for 25 min. and they came out perfect! That was the recommended pan/time in my old Betty cookbook. I followed recipe ingredients as is. Chewy, delicious and moist with that slight crunch on the top. Thank you Betty!

I made this recipe after having a total flop of a recipe from another "kitchen" during Christmas....my husband and I loved this recipe - I added some shaved carrots as well to give it a carrot cake taste. It was fast, easy and very much enjoyed by my family. Thank you.

This was the 1st time I ever made these kind of cookies. I made a batch for work and EVERYONE loved them! They said these were the best they had ever tasted! I am not one who likes these kind of cookies, but I tried them...they weren't too bad. I have gotten lots of requests to make these over and over! EVERYONE wants my recipe now!!

These cookies tasted great, but spread too much during baking. The second time I made them, I tried putting the cookies closer together and that seemed to help some of the spreading, also taking them out of the oven when they are just starting to brown helps them keep their shape.

I can't believe how easy and excellent these cookies are. And that means a lot coming from a person who is not a fan of oatmeal raisin anything. I read the reviews first to get an idea of what I was in for then changed a few things. I used 2tsp of vanilla, 1C of butter instead of shortening and added 2/3C extra flour. Baked for about 12-13mins (because my spoonfuls were kind of bigger) and had no problem with crumbling/breaking or spreading. This recipe is a keeper!

Oh my goodness.... These cookies are awesome; my kids after tasting them praised me on how great they were and that I should become a chef. I did not even have to adjust for high altitude.

This is not a good recipe at all, the cookies spread in the pan, they are too thin and stick to the pan. The cookies all broke apart into many pieces and they are very oily. I do not recommend this recipe to anyone.
