My mama made this for me all the time when I was a very young girl... back in the early 50's...The recipe is still being used by me today...at 67 years old. I never could wait until it cooled. It is wonderful hot from the oven (if you can wait about 5 or 6 minutes...) Hot with cold butter or margarine spread over it and a glass of milk. I always have Bisquick on hand (it is a staple here)...think I will go make some now.

Just made this bread today. It turned out delicious with 1 cup walnuts and 1/2 cup pecans, chopped. Very moist. Thank you.
